Worries
There’s a saying that goes something like ‘don’t worry about the things you can’t change; worry about the things you can.’ It’s a pretty good piece of advice; people in general worry too much. But I think it’s backwards. I feel that when something is out of your hands, that’s when it’s time to start worrying, such as whatever Grandma’s gonna get you for Christmas.
Put is this way, people always worry about dying, which is mostly something you have no control over (so apparently there’s no point in worrying about it). I worry about it. I worry about it a lot. In fact, that’s usually my number one priority; WHATEVER YOU DO – DON’T DIE!. But if someone were to tell me that I might not ever have to die (something I might have control over, so start worrying), I’m not going to worry over that. Shit, gimme some more information about that. I wanna hear more. The way I see it, if you have the power to change something, stop fussing over it and change it already. Maybe time is running out. Maybe the window of opportunity is closing. But no, they miss the boat because they were too busy worrying.
People can be so frickin stupid, and this theory is proof of that.
